One of the most vital parts of spiritual worship (or probably the main reason that people decide to attend a church meeting or service) is getting the opportunity to hear the preaching of the Word of God. 

 

       Although there are many different aspects of Christian praise and worship (i.e. reading and studying your Bible, daily devotions, congregational singing, personal (private) and public (group) prayer, etc.), and all of them are vitally important - God's preferred method of getting His message to His people is through the preaching of the Gospel. 

       Romans 10:14 says, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"  And 1 Corinthians 1:21 says that, "it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."

       It is through the preaching of the Word of God that the message of Jesus Christ is spread; how new converts are made; how the faith of saints is increased; how those who are weak are strengthened; how those who are weary are lifted up; how those who are struggling find hope; and how those whose (spiritual) "fire" has gone out, have it rekindled.
